THE BIGGEST FANSITE FOR THE HIT ITV SITCOM
Ever wondered what happened between series five and six of Cold Feet? Thirteen whole years passed between that time and award winning author Carmel Harrington has written a top novel bridging the gap. Read on for more information, plus an exciting competition in conjunction with our friends at Hodder & Stoughton!
I've read the novel myself and all I can say is I am overwhelmed. I'm still writing a review of the book which will be published here in due course. Everything element of the television show is captured by Carmel in this heartwarming story of what happened to Adam, Pete, Jenny, Karen and David between the final episode in 2003 and the revived series in 2016. It all begins with Adam returning to native Ireland where he stays with his estranged father Bill, and you can feel the idyllic surroundings of Belfast from page to page, echoed through the words of dear Carmel who is Irish herself, hailing from County Wexford. I know how determined she has been to make the book seem like a continuation of the television series, and when reading it I could picture each chapter as a scene in my head.
If you can't wait for the competition you can order the book yourself on Amazon by clicking here.
Its available in hardback, paperback, audiobook and as an e-book, and can be pre-ordered now!
Pictured to the left is lovely Carmel Harrington, the author of Cold Feet: The Lost Years, and creator of Cold Feet Mike Bullen. I cannot thank Carmel enough for bridging the gap between series five and six, something which last year I imagined we never would be able to know of - somewhat of a mystery that us fans would have to decide for ourselves. She has also been so supportive of Cold Feet TV and this fansite, citing us as a must-go place for Cold Feet fans, which really means more than words can say. At the time of writing we are not the Twitter account with the most followers, hits, likes or retweets but I really do believe that we are the number one source for Cold Feet content, and with our ever growing website, support from cast and crew, plus a great relationship with Hodder Books and Carmel Harrington, I am so proud of what begun just over a year ago with nothing.
Now less about us, and more about wonderful Carmel. A Sunday Times Bestseller, Carmel Harrington is from Co. Wexford, where she lives with her husband Roger and two young children, Amelia and Nate. Her latest books are The Woman at 72 Derry Lane and The Things I Should Have Told You, and her other bestsellers include Every Time A Bell Rings, The Life You Left and Kindle Book of the Year 2013 winner Beyond Grace's Rainbow. Carmel's books are published worldwide, and have been translated into eight languages to date. She is a regular on Irish television as a panellist on TV3's Elaine Show. In addition, she is Chair of Wexford Literary Festival, which she co-founded.
"Poignant, warm and funny all at the same time, COLD FEET: THE LOST YEARS picks up from where the television series left off and remains a gripping drama that connects with everyone, telling stories relevant to us all."
